It was in 1940 when ATIKIAN, A young chemist, graduated from Sorbone of Paris came back home to his village Kessab. " an Armenian village, a country-side on the Syrian – Turkish border ".

Kessab is so rich in laurel planting. Mr. Atikian started teaching farmers to cook soap from this plant's unique oil, many young villagers started a home business, producing and selling ( LAUREL SOAP) .

But Few of those young men had the vision and goal to establish a traditional business.

In 1942 a young man and his father, Aram & Boghos Churukian started such a business which is now the one and the only one left in operation, owned & managed by their daughter Annie & Son in law Steve Apelian .

We have upgraded and developed the old business since 1989 when we first took over the administration and management of the factory. Now, besides the local market we export our products to Europe, U.S.A, Canada & Japan.
